About
My name is Bryan and I developed this blog to share my passion and and hobby to the world. We are Ball Python breeders in Northern Calif and recently launched our website www.westcoastpythons.com in may of 2008 . It was a big learning curve for me to develop the website but we will talk about that later.
My Passion for reptiles
I have been chasing reptiles since i was a kid in the foothills of Southern California. I use to field collect reptiles as a child, I would do my best to hide them from my mom that was totally against reptiles in the house. As I grew older it was very obvious to my mother that reptiles were going to be something she did not like but learned to tolerate. I am very fortunate that she allowed me to follow my passion and learn all I could about reptiles. Time flew by and before you know it I’m married , working and trying to get ahead of the game. I always had reptiles of some kind and still enjoy the amazing creatures they are. I have been married 25 years now and my kids are grown and in 2000 I was bitten by the Ball Python bug and my collection has grown every year since.
Ball Pythons
To me Ball Pythons are the ultimate pet for just about anyone. Ball pythons stay small ,usually around 4 feet as adults. They get there name from their defensive behavior to ball up. They are very docile and easy to care for and now are available as morphs with incredible colors and patterns. They have a very tropical pattern and have a robust body and great temperment. We have developed our collection into a breeding colony from stock from the worlds top lines. We launched our site www.westcoastpythons.com when we realized there was a need for a informative and friendly website to include a place for others to learn about these amazing reptiles.
Ballbusters Breeders Forum !
I spent many hours reading and researching how to build a site and in may of 2008 the website was launched. Many hours was spent on learning how to code HTML . I drove my kids crazy pecking away with two typing fingers. I’m a believer that you can learn anything if you are willing to read enough. I put together my site which is currently going through a face lift and we were on the web. It wasn’t long that I realized the occasional E mail wasn’t what i really wanted it terms of interacting and sharing my love for reptiles. More research and reading and we setup a data base and launched our forum in a few weeks. Ball Busters Breeders Club This was the answer to creating a community of reptile lovers and new comers to discuss my favorite subject (reptiles) and this blog allows me to write articles for others to use as a resource. Im sure I will add to this page as time goes on but that’s my story and hope you check back often and come register on the forum to be a part of a positive and informative reptile community. Come visit us at www.westcoastpythons.com and enter the forum for a great reptile question and answer interaction.
